Weak Hero Class 2 has been officially released on Netflix on Friday April 25, 2025. The Korean drama is the latest project from Park Ji-hoon which tells the story of his return as a high school student named Yeon Si-eun, a student who has only been busy with herself and her studies.
In the drama Weak Hero Class 1, Si-eun meets good friends and together fights against various acts of violence in school. However, at the end of the episode, Si-eun ends up losing her friends. In this new part, Si-eun is told to move schools and meet new friends. However, her move only makes Si-eun have to face a lot of violence that is even greater.
Weak Hero Class 2 opens with the sweet and bad memories that have befallen Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon), such as the beginning of her friendship with An Su-ho (Choi Hyun-wook) and Oh Beom-seok (Hong Kyung), to a number of deadly situations that they have experienced together. Si-eun is really traumatized, including in a situation that threatens Su-ho's safety.
Si-eun is often haunted by the same nightmare and comes repeatedly until she has to consult an expert. The situation did not even improve when Si-eun decided to transfer to Eunjang High School. There, Si-eun tended to be avoided and hated by other students because of rumors of her bad attitude at her old school.
So, Si-eun, who had actually tried to open herself up to make friends again, had to close herself off again and just be busy with herself again. In the new school, he is in the same class as Seo Jun-tae, a student who is often bullied by other students at school. He was even forced to be a food delivery man during his free time by many other students.
At that time, Si-eun had to face a group of bullies led by Choi Hyo-man (Yoo Su-bin) who turned out to be trying to join Union, a gang known for its violence. The Weak Hero Class 2 conflict begins when Jun-tae, who is the class president in Si-eun's class, secretly takes Si-eun's cell phone to save himself from Choi Hyo-man's threats.
All the students' phones were apparently collected back to the Union. Not only phones from Eunjang High School, but also phones from other schools. However, Jun-tae one day takes a new action and decides to fight against Hyo-man's bullying. This teen series first launched its first season on November 17, 2022. This series is an adaptation of a Webtoon that was first published in 2018.
Three episodes of the first season even had their premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival. This is also what then unexpectedly makes Si-eun able to form an impossible friendship with Seo Jun-tae, Park Hu-min (Ryeo Un), and Go Hyun-tak (Lee Min-jae). Their friendship immediately attracts the attention of Union, the gang led by Na Baek-jin (Bae Na-ra), and Geum Seong-je (Lee Jun-young).
The latest season of the series is still directed by Weak Hero Class 1 director You Su-min, with executive producer Han Jun-hee once again working together to produce Weak Hero Class 2. The series contains trigger warnings for juvenile violence and is intended for mature audiences. Weak Hero Class 2 has eight episodes with all episodes airing simultaneously on Netflix on April 25, 2025.
