Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole took over the former One Direction member's estate after his death. Cheryl got US$ 32 million even though Liam did not leave a will. The singer was appointed as administrator of the estate because she has a son named Bear (8) with Liam.

Apart from Cheryl, there is another name who has also been appointed as administrator, he is music industry lawyer Richard Mark Bray. The duo will make decisions regarding Liam Payne's money, property and belongings.

While Cheryl and Bray will manage the money, they have limited authority and cannot distribute it. According to the BBC, when someone dies without a will in the UK, their children will usually inherit the estate if there is no surviving spouse or civil partner. Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole dated from 2016 to 2018.

Liam met Cheryl on the X Factor in 2010 when she was a judge alongside Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger. They were responsible for forming One Direction. Cheryl and Liam began dating years later. Cheryl later gave birth to their son in 2017 before ending the relationship the following year.

"Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are separating. This has been a difficult decision for us to make," Liam Payne announced on social media at the time. Liam Payne was in a relationship with Kate Cassidy when he died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, 2024.

Liam died at the age of 31. The 'Strip That Down' singer suffered fatal injuries after falling from his hotel room balcony. Liam Payne had reportedly been partying and drinking with prostitutes in the lead-up to his death.
