BTS's Jin has just officially made his comeback as a soloist by releasing a video clip titled 'Don't Say You Love Me' on Friday May 16, 2025 which shows the Korean musician standing in front of a painting of Raden Saleh.
The video clip for the main song from the album was made in several locations in Singapore, one of which was the National Gallery Singapore. In one scene, Jin meets a girl who manages to capture his heart.
The two travel to various places in Singapore, they also spend time at the art gallery. Until then, Jin and the girl are seen looking at each other in front of a painting depicting a tiger, a buffalo, and a land fire. The painting titled Boschbrand (Forest Fire) is the work of Indonesian maestro, Raden Saleh.
The painting was made in 1849 using oil on canvas. Boschbrand presents a painting by Raden Saleh showing a number of animals, such as tigers, buffaloes, and birds, being chased by fire to the edge of a cliff.
According to the National Heritage Board website, citing Kennie Ting's The Singapore Story through 60 objects, the painting tells a story of life and death that never ends tragically through the depiction of living animals using dramatic dark lighting "on a monumental scale."
"Painted in Raden Saleh's final years in Europe, and the largest known example of the artist's work, this work displays his technical mastery of the oil medium, realism, and the language of European Romanticism," the National Heritage Board said.
"The painting was given by Raden Saleh as a gift to King Willem III of the Netherlands in 1850. A year later, in 1851 to be precise, the king bestowed the title "Schilder des Konings" ("Painter of the King") on him," he continued.
On the other hand, BTS Jin's latest EP album this time is titled Echo which consists of seven songs with the main song titled Don't Say You Love Me, there are also songs Nothing Without Your Love, Loser (feat. YENA), Rope It, and Background.
The comeback also marks Jin's return to releasing the work after about six months since he last released the Happy album in November 2024. BTS's Jin is also reported to have directly contributed to writing the songs on the album.
"Echo is an album where you can find Jin's diverse vocals based on the band's sound," BigHit Music said in their statement. "Jin has witnessed moments in life that anyone can relate to using his own perspective, and he has expressed his feelings about those moments in a simple and intelligent way," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Happy album is Jin's first greeting to BTS fans, often called ARMY, right after the musician born in 1992 completed his military service in June 2024. Jin is the first member of BTS to successfully complete his military service.
The solo album from the oldest member of BTS even managed to score various achievements in the global arena by occupying the number four position on the Billboard 200 chart with its main song Running Wild.
Jin also had time to hold a two-day showcase in South Korea to celebrate the release of the Happy album. The Happy album consists of six tracks with Running Wild as the main song, then there are I'll Be There, Another Level, Falling, then Heart on the Window, and I Will Come to You.
