South Korean actor and former SF9 member, Rowoon announced his mandatory military service will begin this year. Rowoon's agency, FNC Entertainment confirmed the news. “It is true that Rowoon will be enlisting on July 21, 2025.
He will enter the training center and fulfill his military duties as an active soldier,” FNC Entertainment said on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Before leaving, the former SF9 member will hold a fan meeting entitled Before Blooming on May 31, 2025 at Kwangwoon University, Seoul.
The agency has also not announced whether Rowoon will leave publicly or privately. Rowoon debuted in 2016 as a member of South Korean boy group SF9. Then, he left the group to focus as an actor in 2023.
Even so, he is still under FNC Entertainment which is SF9's agency. He made his acting debut through the drama School 2017. This year, he made a cameo in the drama Spring of Youth together with Jung Hae In.
He also received an offer for a romance drama with Kim Min Ju, but the agency said the actor was still considering it. Not only that, Rowoon is also preparing his newest series, The Murky Stream which is scheduled to air on Disney+.
