South Korean actor and former SF9 member, Rowoon, will undergo military service as an active soldier in the South Korean Army on July 21, 2025. The news was first reported by MyDaily on Monday, May 27, 2025, and was later confirmed by his agency, FNC Entertainment.
"It is true that Rowoon will be enlisting in the military on July 21, 2025. He will enter the training center and carry out his military duties as an active soldier in the Army," said a representative of FNC Entertainment.
Rowoon started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of SF9 in 2016. In 2023, he decided to leave the group and focus fully on acting. Rowoon is widely known for his roles in a number of popular dramas, including his debut in School 2017 and his breakthrough through Extraordinary You.
Ahead of his military departure, Rowoon will greet fans through a fan meeting event titled Before Blooming, which will be held on May 31, 2025 at Kwangwoon University, Seoul. This event is a temporary farewell moment for the actor before taking a break from the entertainment world.
