ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo Confirmed to Enlist in the Military in July 2025

Finally, Fantagio released the certainty regarding South Korean actor and ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo's military service. Reported by Soompi page, the agency released an official statement on Thursday May 29, 2025. 

"Hello. This is Fantagio. We would like to thank Aroha who always sends unwavering love to ASTRO, and we have an important announcement regarding our artist Cha Eun Woo's military enlistment," a Fantagio representative. 

It added, "Recently, Cha Eun Woo applied to join the Military Band and received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration today. 

He will enter the training center on July 28, 2025 and undergo basic military training before carrying out his duties in the Military Band." The agency also asked fans not to visit the ASTRO member's military service location during this registration period. 

"To prevent accidents due to crowding on the day of registration, Cha Eun Woo's registration location and time will be kept confidential, and there will be no special events held separately."

The announcement concluded with the statement, "We ask for your warm support for Cha Eun Woo as he diligently fulfills his military duties, and returns in good health." 

Along with this military enlistment announcement, IU released her new work which involves Cha Eun Woo in the music video, "A Beautiful Person." The two of them had previously participated in a photo shoot for a jewelry brand last February 2025. 

Two weeks ago, Cha Eun Woo also appeared with Go Yoon Jung in an advertorial film with a French fashion house.  Last April 2025, Cha Eun Woo was also confirmed to join the film project tentatively titled First Ride. 

The film also stars Kang Ha Neul and Kim Young Kwang. The film tells the story of four friends who have built a long-standing friendship, and after turning 30, they travel abroad together for the first time. 

This is Cha Eun Woo's first comedy film project. He plays Yeon Min, a character who dreams of becoming a DJ at the World Music Festival. However, he ends up stuck at home.
