ASTRO's JinJin was exempted from military service due to health issues. On Tuesday June 3, 2025, JinJin reportedly did not need to follow military service because he suffered from an autoimmune disease. This news was conveyed by the agency Fantagio through their official announcement on the fanpage of ASTRO fans.
In their statement, Fantagio said that member JinJin received an exemption or exemption from military service from the Military Manpower Administration. They said that the autoimmune condition suffered by the idol made him unfit for duty.
"Hello, this is Fantagio. We would like to inform you all regarding ASTRO member JinJin's mandatory military service. JinJin was deemed ineligible for mandatory military service after undergoing a comprehensive health examination by the Military Manpower Administration.
Due to his autoimmune condition," the agency said. The agency further explained that JinJin's condition may not interfere with his daily activities. However, the idol needs to undergo regular check-ups and visit the hospital periodically to undergo the examinations and treatments he has undergone so far.
According to medical experts, it would be very difficult for JinJin if he had to carry out his military service with his condition. That is why the idol was given an exception, and did not have to follow his military service.
