South Korean boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN has again made an achievement with their fifth full album 'HAPPY BURSTDAY'.
According to Hanteo Chart data on June 2, 2025, the album, which was released on May 26, 2025, managed to sell 2,521,208 copies in its first week (May 26–June 1, 2025), ranking first on the weekly album chart.
This achievement makes 'HAPPY BURSTDAY' the K-Pop album with the highest first-week sales in 2025 so far. The album's success was not limited to South Korea.
'HAPPY BURSTDAY' topped the Oricon daily album chart in Japan for five consecutive days since the second day of its release.
In addition, this album also won first place in the “Digital Bestseller Album” category of QQ Music in China. The album's title track, 'THUNDER', also showed an outstanding performance.
The song managed to reach the top position on the Melon Top 100 chart and has remained at the top until now. In addition to album sales, SEVENTEEN also shows dominance in the concert market.
According to Billboard's semi-annual report, in the period from October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, SEVENTEEN recorded ticket revenue of 120.9 million US dollars.
This figure places them as the artist with the third highest concert ticket revenue in the world and the highest among K-Pop artists.
