Korean drama 'The Haunted Palace' has aired its final episode on Saturday June 7, 2025. During its airing, The Haunted Palace consistently scored high ratings. Up until its final episode, the drama starring Bona and Yook Sungjae managed to achieve the highest rating.
According to Nielsen Korea , episode 16 of The Haunted Palace scored 11 percent across South Korea. The Haunted Palace drama then became the number one show among programs from other television channels that aired in the same time slot.
The Korean drama The Haunted Palace combines elements of fantasy, history, and romance in a Joseon era setting. The drama tells the story of Yoon Gab (Yook Sung Jae) a government official who works in the palace.
One day, Yoon Gab's body is possessed by a Korean mythological creature in the form of a dragon (Imoogi). Soon after, people start talking about him as if he has lost his mind. He meets Yeo Ri (Bona), a young woman of shamanic lineage who rejects her destiny as a spirit medium.
Yeo Ri enters a palace filled with powerful female ghosts and evil spirits. Together with King Lee Sung, a reformer who seeks to change Joseon, they attempt to uncover the mystery behind the spirits and save Yoon Gab from Imoogi's influence.
