So Ji Sub returns to star in a Korean drama after last starring in Doctor Lawyer in 2022. This time, Cho Eun Jung's husband stars in the drama Mercy for None which starts airing on Friday June 6, 2025 on Netflix.
The drama Mercy for None tells the story of Nam Gi Jun (So Ji Sub), who in the past was a member of the Bongsan Gang led by Gu Bong San (Ahn Kil Kang). Nam Gi Jun defeated another gang through fierce battles and the gang grew into a large company, but Nam Gi Jun decided to leave the gang.
His younger brother, Nam Gi Seok (Lee Jun Hyuk) joined the Joowoon Gang led by Lee JuWoon (Heo Jun Ho). The two gangs are rivals. For the sake of his brother, Nam Gi Jun left Geng Bongsan by cutting his left Achilles tendon.
11 years later, Nam Gi Jun lives quietly and makes a living by supplying drinks to the business run by Bongsan. Meanwhile, Nam Gi Seok is now the person with the second highest rank in Joowoon, but he suddenly dies.
To uncover the secret behind Nam Gi Seok's death and take revenge on those responsible, Nam Gi Jun returns to the gang world he left behind 11 years ago. This drama has a total of seven episodes and is directed by Choi Sung Eun.
