BTS's Jin served up charm, wit, and a serious love of seafood during his guest appearance on JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator 2. Jin made a polished entrance, greeting the hosts and chefs with the easy charm of a seasoned global superstar.

Now preparing for BTS’s full group comeback, he said with a smile, “All our members have completed their military service. Please look forward to us.” When asked how he feels about being dubbed “Worldwide Handsome,” Jin quipped, “I spend three hours in the bathroom after a shower—just staring at the sculpture in the mirror.”

He added cheekily, “I love being complimented.” During the episode, Jin’s refrigerator contents were revealed, drawing attention with high-end items like assorted sashimi and steamed king crab. Jin shared, “When I have time, I even make my own kimchi. I cook often—about 50% home-cooked meals, 40% delivery, and 10% dining out.”

Crowning himself the unofficial president of the Mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) fan club, Jin confessed he eats it three times a week and once even tried convincing Tom Cruise to try it. “I even make sushi at home,” he added. “I’ve tried filleting raw fish myself, but that didn’t go so well.

Now I just make sushi rice and use sashimi I order in.” As for the king crab? Jin said, “Growing up, it was too expensive, so I couldn’t eat it. But now that I’ve had a bit of success, I used to eat it twice a month. Recently, the price has gone up so much, so I cut back to once every three weeks.”

Host Kim Sung Joo recalled with a laugh, “Eight years ago, when you were living in the small house with your members, you said your favorite was canned sea snails.” The episode ended with a friendly cook-off between chefs Son Jong Won and Choi Hyun Seok.

Jin ultimately picked Choi’s dish, the playfully named Choi-bap, explaining, “Son’s dish was refreshingly creative, but I liked the vinegar seasoning and generous portion of Choi’s.” Choi, who reached his 10th win, declared, “I don’t cook. I just look into the guest’s heart,” drawing laughter from the studio.
