Scarlett Johansson has cemented her position as one of Hollywood's biggest stars, thanks to her latest film, 'Jurassic World: Rebirth'. The American actress and singer was officially crowned Hollywood's highest-grossing lead actor at the box office following the release of 'Jurassic World: Rebirth.'

The film grossed over US$318 million globally in its opening weekend alone. According to data from The Numbers, Scarlett Johansson now tops the list of Hollywood stars with the highest career box office earnings.

Just below her are her two fellow Marvel stars: Samuel L. Jackson in second place and Robert Downey Jr. in third. Scarlett Johansson was previously in third place. However, the opening success of 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' pushed her career box office total to US$14.8 billion, putting her at the top of the list.

Scarlett achieved this fantastic achievement through 36 films, far fewer than Samuel L. Jackson who starred in 71 films, or Robert Downey Jr. with 45 films. "This is truly an extraordinary achievement.

Scarlett is not only a talented actress, but also a true box office star who is able to attract audiences across various film genres," said one film industry analyst, as quoted by Just Jared. One of the biggest factors boosting Scarlett's earnings is 'Jurassic World: Rebirth,' which is the most anticipated film of the year.

The film tells the story in 2010, five years before the events of Jurassic World. Besides Scarlett Johansson, a number of top actors also play a role in this thriller genre film, including Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey and Rupert Friend.
