Solo singer Cho Seungyoun aka WOODZ has officially completed his mandatory military service and is back to greet fans. On Monday July 21, 2025 morning, WOODZ underwent a discharge ceremony at the Korea Military Academy in Nowon-gu, Seoul, after completing his duties as a member of a military unit under the military music division.

During his military service, WOODZ caught the public's attention through his appearance on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' in October 2024, in a special Armed Forces Day episode. His emotional rendition of "Drowning" went viral. The video has now been viewed over 17 million times on YouTube, marking the song's "reverse run," or resurgence, on the music charts.

WOODZ's self-written and composed song, "Drowning," is part of his fifth mini-album, "OO-LI," released in April 2023. After its appearance on "Immortal Songs," the song skyrocketed on Korean music charts, even reaching number one on various platforms and national television music shows.

Now, after completing his military service, WOODZ is ready to make a comeback in the entertainment world. He has been confirmed to perform at two major music festivals: Summer Sonic 2025 in Japan in August 2025 and the Busan International Rock Festival 2025 in September 2025.
