ATBO's Jeong Seunghwan, has officially started his mandatory military service, on October 20, 2025, IST Entertainment confirmed that Seunghwan had enrolled at the Nonsan Military Training Center to carry out his obligations as a South Korean citizen.
The agency explained that they did not announce the enlistment schedule beforehand, in accordance with Seunghwan's request who wanted to depart quietly without public attention. In its official statement, IST Entertainment said.
"Hello, this is IST Entertainment. First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have always supported ATBO. ATBO member Jeong Seunghwan has officially enlisted in the military today (October 20th) at the Nonsan Military Training Center.
In accordance with his wishes for a peaceful departure, we were unable to share this news earlier, and we ask for the understanding of fans. Jeong Seunghwan will carry the love and support of fans while carrying out his duties with full responsibility, and he plans to return as a more mature and developed person.
We ask for your continued support and warm encouragement so that Jeong Seunghwan can complete his military service in good health, thank you." Thus, Seunghwan becomes one of the latest K-pop idols to undertake military service this year.
