F-IV's Jang Hae Young, died at the age of 45 on October 6, 2025. Jang Hae Young passed away after battling cancer. This sad news was conveyed by F-IV member, Kim Hyun Soo, to the Yonhap News agency via telephone on Saturday October 11, 2025.
"Jang Hae Young passed away on October 6, 2025 after battling cancer," agency said. Previously, Kim Hyun Soo uploaded Jang Hae Young's profile photo on his social media and wrote a goodbye message.
" Goodbye. If we meet again in heaven, let's sing together again ," wrote Kim Hyun Soo. Jang Hae Young is a singer born in 1981 who graduated from the Korean dance arts department of the Korea National University of Arts.
Jang Hae Young began his career in 1997 with Group Kid. However, he left the group before their comeback in 2002 as a member of the boy band F-IV (Five).
The group won the Best New Artist award at the KMTV Korean Music Awards in 2003. While with F-IV, he colored the K-Pop music scene with hit songs, such as Girl, I'm Sorry, and Merry Christmas.
In 2016, Jung Hae Young appeared with the members of F-IV on the JTBC show Sugar Man. He shared an update on his freelance career. "I work as a freelancer in the investment field," said Jung Hae Young.
