Three Korean-American singers, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who provided the voices for the song 'Golden' by the virtual group HUNTR/X in the Netflix series 'KPop Demon Hunters', performed stunningly on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on October 7, 2025.

The first live performance of the song 'Golden' managed to steal the world's attention, but also triggered various reactions from the audience. In the performance, EJAE, a former SM Entertainment trainee who voices the HUNTR/X leader character, Rumi, along with Audrey Nuna (as Mira) and Rei Ami (as Joy), sang a song with a mix of English and Korean lyrics.

The video of their performance, uploaded to YouTube, immediately went viral, recording more than 3 million views within 12 hours of its broadcast. However, the performance wasn't without criticism.

Some viewers lamented the decision to sing the song one key lower than the original version. They felt this change diminished the song's essence for its debut on a global stage like The Tonight Show.

On the other hand, supporters of the three singers argue that "Golden" was not a song designed for stage performance. EJAE, as a former trainee and not a professional singer, was also known to have recently recovered from bronchitis, which affected her condition.

Despite the lowered tone, many praised their performance as exceptional. This controversy doesn't diminish the fact that 'Golden' has become a global phenomenon, cementing 'KPop Demon Hunters' as one of Netflix's most talked-about shows of the year.
