Not yet free from the controversy he experienced, now South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has to face his first trial in court. Kim Soo Hyun is scheduled to appear in court in November for the first hearing of the damages lawsuit filed by the cosmetics brand (Brand A).

According to the 22nd Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court, Kim Soo Hyun's first trial will be on Friday, November 21, 2025. This first trial discussed the compensation claim filed by a cosmetics company, Brand A, worth 500 million KRW.

This lawsuit was directed at Kim Soo Hyun as an artist and his agency Gold Medalist due to the controversy that ensnared the actor. This trial was officially held in court after 7 months after the contract termination and legal filing submitted in April 2025.

Cosmetics company Brand A said the contract termination was due to a loss of trust and integrity in their partnership. Previously, Kim Ji Won's co-star in the drama Queen of Tears had a 1 year contract with Brand A which was valid until August 2025.

Meanwhile, due to the controversy involving him with the late South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron, the actor had to postpone a number of his activities in the Korean entertainment world, including his latest drama, Knock Off.

He is reportedly facing lawsuits totaling approximately 7.3 billion KRW from various companies, including Brand A, along with temporary seizures on his assets, such as a claim of 100 million KRW and a seizure of 3 billion KRW on an apartment in Seongsu-dong in the Galleria Foret complex.
