Kim Soo Hyun will face his first court hearing regarding his contract termination filed by VT Cosmetics. The brand is suing the South Korean actor, claiming he has suffered losses due to his controversies.
According to Maeil Business on Wednesday October 22, 2025, the Seoul District Court will hold the first hearing on Friday November 21, 2025 for a lawsuit seeking damages of up to 500 Million Korean Won.
Previously, Kim Soo Hyun was in the spotlight after allegedly having a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor. VT Cosmetics released a statement that they found it difficult to continue the contract because Kim Soo Hyun could not fulfill the contract requirements.
“After confirming the agency’s position, we determined that there were significant reasons why it was difficult to continue the advertising contract and we decided to legally terminate the contract,” VT Cosmetics said.
The contract between Kim Soo Hyun and the brand is said to be valid until August this year. Kim Soo Hyun himself and his lawyer held a press conference in February without opening the opportunity for a question and answer session with journalists.
In the press conference, Kim Soo Hyun stated, “We started dating after she became an adult.” Recently, Kim Soo Hyun's lawyer reiterated that the evidence provided by the late Kim Sae Ron's family was false and had been altered for personal gain.
