South Korean idol group BTS's rapper Suga reportedly invested in Elon Musk's SpaceX several years before the space company's stock exchange listing on June 12, 2026.
According to reports from the Korea Herald and Edaily on Monday June 29, 2026, Suga invested through Link Asset Partners, a South Korean venture capital firm that also invested in SpaceX. The investment amount was not disclosed.
According to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, the investment was made in 2022. An official from HYBE, the agency that oversees Suga, declined to comment on the report.
"It is difficult to confirm matters related to an artist's personal affairs," HYBE said. SpaceX's company value is estimated at around US$46 billion in 2020 and around US$100 billion in 2021.
After its record-breaking initial public offering (IPO) on Nasdaq on June 12, 2026 and the largest IPO in the US, the company's valuation was US$1.77 trillion.
Based on this valuation, investments made in 2021 will appreciate by around 1,670 percent, while investments made in 2020 will experience an increase of almost 3,750 percent.
However, the actual returns on Suga's investments cannot be verified because the size and timing of the investments remain confidential.
