NCT's Jaehyun's latest photo has caused a stir online. The NCT member was seen spending time with a woman swimming in Italy's Lake Como. He finally issued a clarification to stop the growing fan speculation. Recently, NCT's Jaehyun was a special guest at the Prada fashion show.
While in Italy, he apparently stopped in the Lombardy region to swim in a lake that offers views of mountains and historic villas. On his Instagram account @_jeongjaehyun on Friday (June 26, 2026), NCT's Jaehyun shared some of his fun moments.
He appeared shirtless while swimming, canoeing, and wakeboarding. However, many fans were distracted by a video of NCT's Jaehyun jumping into a lake with a woman wearing a white bikini.
In fact, quite a few fans thought NCT's Jaehyun was doing a soft launch, subtly publicizing his relationship. His post was immediately flooded with heartbroken comments from speculating fans. Finally, SM Entertainment producer Hyun commented on NCT's Jaehyun's photo.
The Instagram user, @hyun_r_b, revealed that the woman swimming with him was not his girlfriend but his cousin. "He was finally able to make a beautiful memory with his cousin despite his busy schedule and posted this photo with a happy heart.
So it makes me sad to think of Jaehyun seeing these comments," the producer wrote, trying to stop Jaehyun's fans' speculation. NCT's Jaehyun personally wrote a comment under his photo upload, as if confirming producer Hyun's comments. "My dear cousin," he said.
Previously, during an appearance on Lee Young Ji's YouTube show, NCT's Jaehyun revealed that he has a cousin who lives in France and works in fashion. The woman swimming with him in Lake Como is believed to be the cousin he mentioned.
On another occasion, NCT's Jaehyun also revealed that he was the only boy in his family's family. "I'm the only boy on both my father's and mother's side. So all my cousins are either older or younger sisters," the 29-year-old idol explained.
