The action film 'The Way Down' will be shown on Trans TV Cinemas on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 8:15 PM WIB. Also titled 'The Vault,' this 2021 film was directed by Spanish director Jaume Balaguero. His previous works include 'Unboxing Ibai' (2020) and 'Muse' (2017).

Although 'The Way Down' is a Spanish production, the 118-minute film still features Hollywood stars in its cast, including Freddie Highmore ('The Good Doctor') and Famke Janssen ('X-Men'). Commercially, 'The Way Down' only managed to gross US$9 million at the box office, despite a production budget of 15 million euros.

The film received a 6.4/10 rating from IMDb. This film begins with the discovery of treasure in a shipwreck by a businessman and treasure hunter named Walter Moreland (played by Liam Cunningham). However, the Spanish government learned of the discovery.

They refused to allow Walter to excavate the treasure and confiscated all of his assets. Eventually, the entire treasure was stored in a vault called the Chamber of Gold. The vault is located in a bank building over 100 years old, specifically the Bank of Spain in Madrid.

It's said that the building housing this treasure has been unbreakable for over 80 years. Furthermore, the building is equipped with a very strict security system, including surveillance cameras and sensors throughout.

In order to get the treasure back, Walter meets his colleagues, namely Simon (Luis Tosar), a logistics expert, Lorraine (Astrid Berges Frisbey) who is a con artist, Klaus (Axel Stein) a computer hacker, Thom Johnson (Freddie Highmore) who is a genius engineering student, and James (Sam Riley) who is Walter's old partner when hunting for treasure.

They formed a team and united their vision to break into the safe. They even devised various daring and crazy plans to recover the treasure confiscated by the Spanish government. Watch 'The Way Down' in full on Trans TV Cinema on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 8:15 PM WIB.
