HMD Global has announced its latest budget handset, called the Nokia G11, in the global market. The smartphone shares some of its features and specifications with the Nokia G21. The handset runs on Android 11 and will receive two major upgrades. Talking about the key highlights, it gets a 90Hz display, a UNISOC T606 chip, a 5,050mAh battery, and a triple rear camera system.
The Nokia G11 smartphone arrives as a successor to the G10 model that was released last year 2021. In comparison, the new model gets a 90Hz screen refresh rate and replaces the Helio G35 chipset with the Unisoc T606 SoC, which is also available on the Nokia G21. The handset will be pitted against affordable offerings from brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and Vivo.
The Nokia G11 bears a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone flaunts a waterdrop notch design with rounded corners, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. At the back, the handset has a triple camera module.
Under the hood, The Nokia G11 is fueled by a UNISOC T606 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB via micro-SD card). At the heart, the handset boots Android 11 OS out of the box. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, VoLTE, and a Type-C port.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nokia G11 sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, there is an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The smartphone will houses a 5,050mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
For official pricing and availability, the Nokia G11 costs AED 499 (roughly Rs. 10,200) in the UAE and will be up for grabs there from March 23 onward. The smartphone will also be available in the UK sometime next month. The handset comes in Charcoal and Ice color options.
