Realme 9 Pro 5G smartphone was revealed in India along with Realme 9 Pro+. The Chinese tech company finally unveiled the successor of Realme 8 Pro which went official last year as the company’s first smartphone with a 108MP rear camera in India. The handset comes with Light Shift Design in which the rear panel changes from light blue to red when exposed to sunlight or UV light.
Realme 9 Pro 5G features a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2412 pixels ) resolution, 120 Hz Refresh Rate, 20.1:9 Aspect Ratio, 90.80% Screen-to-Body Ratio, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, and 96% Color Saturation. The smartphone comes powered with a Snapdragon 695 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 of internal storage with a microSD card slot. The device comes running on Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 skin on top.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 9 Pro 5G boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 64-megapixel OmniVision main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08D10 ultrawide sensor with 119.9-degree FoV ( Field of View ), and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel with Sony IMX471 front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner. The company bundled the EIS-stabilization support in both rear and front cameras.
The Realme 9 Pro 5G is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 33W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/a/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard, the Realme 9 Pro Magnetic Induction Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gyrometer, Acceleration Sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164.3 x 75.6 x 8.5mm and weighs 195 grams.
For pricing and availability, Realme 9 Pro 5G comes in two configurations: 6GB + 128GB priced at ₹17,999 and 8GB + 128GB priced at ₹20,999. The smartphone comes in three color options namely Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Sunrise Blue. The handset will go for sale on 23 February at 12 PM via e-commerce platform website Flipkart, realme online, and offline selected stores.
