Chinese tech company, Realme has launched the much-anticipated 9 Pro series in India. The line-up starts at Rs. 17,999 and includes the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ models. The former will be up for grabs from February 23, while the latter will be available from February 21. The smartphones will go on sale via e-commerce platform website Flipkart, Realme.com, and partner retail outlets.
The Realme 9 Pro series arrives with premium features at a mid-range price-point. With features such as Vapor Chamber Cooling System, Light Shifting Design, Heart Rate Monitor, and Dynamic RAM Expansion, the smartphones are expected to strengthen the company's position in the mid-range segment. The 9 Pro siblings join the 9i model that was introduced in India in January.
The Realme 9 Pro series bears a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out and a noticeable bottom bezel. The 9 Pro has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the 9 Pro+ sports an in-display fingerprint reader. The former features a 120Hz, 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD display, whereas the latter offers a 90Hz, 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ are fueled by a Snapdragon 695 and MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. At the heart, they boot Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 OS out of the box. The devices pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging and a 4,500mAh battery with 60W fast-charging, respectively.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 9 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, including a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The Realme 9 Pro+ has a similar arrangement but with a 50MP primary snapper. The smartphones sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
For pricing and availability, the Realme 9 Pro starts at Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB/128GB model, whereas the 9 Pro+ carries a starting price-tag of Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. They are available in Sunrise Blue, Aurora Green, and Midnight Black color options. They will be up for grabs from February 23 and February 21, respectively. A discount of Rs. 2,000 will be available on HDFC Bank credit card, debit card, and EMI transactions.
