Vivo has launched the new Y-series smartphone, called the Vivo Y15s in India. The Vivo Y15s was first unveiled by Vivo back in November 2020 in Singapore. When it comes to the specifications, the Y15s is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese tech company that boasts of a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor.

The Vivo Y15s features a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution. The display panel has a standard 60Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a water-drop-shaped notch. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Helio P35 processor. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device also has a microSD card support for further storage expansion. As for the software, the handset runs Android 11 Go Edition with Vivo’s FuntouchOS 11.1 on top. 

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y15s features a dual-camera setup on the backside, which consists of a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP macro sensor. The smartphone sports an 8MP camera on the front side, which is located inside the water-drop-shaped notch. The handset offers a host of modes in its camera app such as Panorama, Face Beauty, Photo, Video, Live Photo, Time-Lapse, Pro Mode, and Documents.

When it comes to security, the Vivo Y15s has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock support. Connectivity-wise, the device has 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB port. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. Dimensions-wise, the device measures 163.96×75.2×8.28mm and weighs 179 grams. 

As for official pricing and availability, Vivo Y15s is priced at ₹10,990 in India. The smartphone comes in sole 3GB RAM + 32GB storage configuration. The handset  can be purchased in Mystic Blue and Wave Green colours from Vivo India E-store, Amazon India, Flipkart as well as retail stores starting from today.
