Nubia is gearing up to launch its high-end smartphone, called the Z40 Pro. In the latest development, the ZTE-owned company has confirmed that the handset will make its debut in China on February 25. The Z40 Pro is expected to be introduced along with a vanilla Z40 model. The company is yet to announce whether the device will come to India or not.

The ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro has already made headlines with several industry-first features. It will be the first commercial Android smartphone to have wireless magnetic charging, the first to feature a custom-made 35mm optical lens, and the first handset with a Sony IMX787 camera sensor. This list may grow longer as we get to know more about the handset.

The ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro may bear a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and fluidic animations. The smartphone is expected to feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint reader. On the rear, it could have a quad camera module.

Details about the camera of the ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro are scarce as of now but it will flaunt a 50MP (f/1.6) Sony IMX787 primary sensor paired with a 35mm optical lens. The smartphone will sport a single selfie camera. The handset will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support.

Under the hood, The ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro will draw juice from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. At the heart, it will boot Android 12 OS out of the box. For connectivity options, the smartphone will offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and a Type-C port.

The official pricing and availability details of the ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro will be announced by the Chinese tech company at the time of its launch on February 25. However, going by the specifications and features, we expect it to start at around Rs. 55,000. The smartphone comes in silver, and black colour options.
