Chinese tech giant, OPPO has launched two new mid-rangers, namely the A76 and A96, in India. Both the smartphones are available for purchase via the company's website and offline stores. The A76 and A96 come in sole 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB versions, respectively. As for the key highlights, the devices offer a dual rear camera setup, a 90Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
OPPO is rapidly growing its presence in the mid-budget smartphone segment in India. The Chinese tech company has launched the A76 and A96 as successors to the A74 and A94 handsets. With these devices, OPPO is aiming to target not only the online space but also the offline market. The A76 and A96 will take on mid-rangers from rival brands such as Samsung, Xiaomi, and Motorola.
The OPPO A76 has a 6.56-inch HD+ (720x1612 pixels) LCD panel while the A96 flaunts a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2412 pixels) LCD display. Both the devices offer a 90Hz refresh rate. The OPPO A76 and A96 sport slim bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a punch-hole cut-out on the upper-left. The rear section holds a rectangular dual camera module.
The OPPO A76 and A96 are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, paired with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics. Under the hood, the devices house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The smartphones run on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 custom skin. The A76 and A96 are only available in their sole 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB versions, respectively.
In terms of optics, The OPPO A76 has a 13MP (f/2.2) primary sensor, paired with a 2MP (f/2.4) secondary lens. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie snapper. The OPPO A96 is packed with a 50MP (f/1.8) main lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) bokeh camera. It features a 16MP front camera. Both the smartphones support 1080p video recording at 30fps via the main rear camera.
For official pricing and availability, the OPPO A76 costs Rs. 17,499 and comes in Glowing Blue and Glowing Black colors. On the other hand, the OPPO A96 bears a price-tag of Rs. 19,999. It is available in Sunset Blue and Starry Black variants. Both the smartphones are currently available for purchase via the offical company's website as well as partner offline stores.
