Realme is gearing up to launch two new 9 series smartphones, called the 9 5G and 9 SE 5G, in India. Now, the company has announced the handsets will be introduced here on March 10. A microsite revealing some hardware specifications and design of the devices has also gone live. The latest additions take the total number of smartphones in Realme's 9 series to five.
The Realme 9 5G and 9 SE 5G will join other 9 series smartphones such as the 9 Pro, 9i, and 9 Pro+ in India. The new 9 series smartphones are expected to strengthen the company's foothold in the mid-range segment. With powerful processors, ultra-smooth displays and fast 5G connectivity, the 9 5G series is bound to turn up the heat on its rivals.
The Realme 9 5G series is expected to feature a noticeable bottom bezel, a punch-hole design, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handsets are likely to have a Full-HD+ display with the 9 SE 5G offering a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 9 5G is likely to sport a 48MP main shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP selfie snapper. Details of the cameras on the 9 SE 5G are scarce at the moment. Battery details of the phones aren't available yet.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 5G and 9 SE 5G will be fueled by MediaTek Dimensity 810 and a Snapdragon 778G chipsets, respectively, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. At the heart, they will boot Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. They will offer support for 5G and a Type-C port.
The official pricing and availability details of the Realme 9 5G series will be announced at the time of its launch on March 10. However, we expect the line-up to start at around Rs. 20,000. Also, the vanilla 9 5G will be offered in Supersonic Blue, Stargaze White, Supersonic Black, and Meteor Black color options.
