Xiaomi Redmi 10A was announced in India as the new affordable handset from the Chinese Tech Company. Although, the smartphone already went official in China last month. The device has similar specifications to the Redmi 9A which was unveiled in 2020. As for the key highlights, it comes with a waterdrop notch display, MediaTek entry-level chipset, solo rear camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, big battery, and more.
Xiaomi Redmi 10A bears a 6.53 inches LCD display with an HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 400nits peak brightness, and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
In terms of camera, the Xiaomi Redmi 10A boasts a solo 13-megapixel rear camera under a square-shaped camera module coupled with an LED flash. The phone sports a 5-megapixel selfie sensor under the waterdrop notch. On the front software, it comes running on Android 11 OS out of the box with MIUI 12.5 skin on top.
The Xiaomi Redmi 10Ais packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 10W charging. Sensors onboard, the smartphone sports a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the phone includes 4G LTE, single-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 164.9 x 77 x 9mm and weighs 194 grams.
For pricing and availability, the Xiaomi Redmi 10A comes in two configurations: 3GB + 32GB priced at Rs. 8,499 and 4GB + 64GB priced at Rs. 9,499. The smartphone comes in three colour options namely Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Grey. The handset will go for sale on April 26 at 12PM via mi.com, mi home, Amazon.in, and selected offline stores.
