Amazfit has now introduced its T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch in India following the launch of its Bip 3 smartwatch. The T-Rex 2 was launched for the global audience back in May 2022 and the brand had been teasing it in India for the past couple of days. The wearable is aimed at adventure junkies, with its rugged built and MIL-STD-810G rating, which allows it to function normally in extreme temperatures of 70 degrees Celsius and freezing conditions of up to -40 degrees Celsius. 

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 smartwatch weighs 66.5 grams including the strap and comes with a 13.66mm thickness. It gets certifications for 15 military tests, which makes it abuse-friendly. The strap is made up of antibacterial silicone material to reduce allergies. It sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 326 PPI. The smartwatch comes with an always-on display feature and a peak brightness of 1000 nits for enhanced legibility under harsh sunlight. 

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 boasts of a BioTracker 3.0 PPG sensor, SpO2 sensor (Blood Oxygen), 24-hour heart rate sensor, and sleep tracker. The smartwatch prompts you to take a blood oxygen saturation test whenever there is a major altitude change. Furthermore, the smartwatch packs in over 150 sports modes such as skiing, mountaineering, fishing, running, triathlon mode, professional lap data recording, and golf swing mode, among others. 

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 features dual-band and five satellite positioning for accurate fitness tracking. You can take it for swimming as it comes with a 10 ATM water resistance rating to survive 100 metres underwater. The smartwatch is powered by a 500mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 24 days of battery life on normal usage, up to 45 days of battery life in basic watch mode, and up to 10 days with heavy usage.

For official pricing and availability, the Amazfit T-Rex 2 is priced at ₹15,999 in India. The smartwatch comes in  Astro Black + Gold, Ember Black, Wild Green, and Desert Khaki colourways. It will go on sale from July 2, 2022, and will be available for purchase via e-commerce platform store Amazon, Amazfit India’s website, and Helios stores across the country.
