South Korean actor, Lee Seung Gi revealed a shocking truth in an episode of SBS' "Circle House." The award-winning actor, alongside fellow hosts Han Ga In, Noh Hong Chul, Lee Lee Jung, and Oh Eun Young, talks about discrimination in the society. During the episode, a designer with a bald head was one of the show's guests and talked about discrimination he gets due to his appearance.
The guest revealed that his "life has changed because of hair loss," adding that he even gave up marriage due to hair loss. He did all sorts of bizarre folk remedies like eating a worm and putting toothpaste on the scalp in hopes of growing back his hair. Sharing his experience, Lee Seung Gi surprised the crowd when he revealed his concerns with hair issues.
The "Mouse" star confesses his own experience as the discussion continues. Lee Seung Gi shared that he is also taking hair loss medicines as a preventive measure. "I'm taking hair loss medicine because my hair seems to be getting thinner," he confessed as cited by an outlet and even asked advice from one of their guests, who is a hair loss expert.
To recall, Lee Seung Gi's photo during his military service circulated on social media, pointing to his thinning hairline. In the photo, the "Vagabond" star sported a shaved head, revealing an M hairline. As cited by Mayo Clinic, hair loss in men is usually because of "heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of aging," making it more common in men than in women.
Apart from Lee Seung Gi, the fellow South Korean heartthrob, Song Joong Ji was once spotted with thinning hair. It was during the actor's marital woes with then-wife Song Hye Kyo. In 2019, a photo of the "Descendants of the Sun" spread like wildfire on social media. As seen in the photos, Song Joong Ki had bald spots on his head.
This made fans believe that his marriage issues are taking a toll on his health. In the same show, the 35-year-old A-lister also spoke about enhancing his appearance. In the previous episode of "Circle House," Lee Seung Gi revealed that he once thought of getting plastic surgery to enhance the feature of his nose. At the time, he believed that he'd be a great actor if he altered his face.
Lee Seung Gi then shared that it came to a point when he booked a schedule for his surgery. However, following his consultation, he backed out and pondered the cons and pros to it. Despite not getting his nose fixed, Lee Seung Gi is one of K-drama's versatile and sought-after leading stars, not to mention his countless recognition and awards throughout his career.
