The members of OMEGA X get bad treatment from the CEO and also the management that oversees them, Spire Entertainment. Now, SBS has again revealed another bad treatment received by the members. Previously, the OMEGA X members received violence from CEO Kang Seong Hee after holding a concert in Los Angeles. The victims were physically and verbally abused, and recorded evidence circulated on the internet.
This made the CEO decide to resign from his position. Management apologizes for what happened. Now, SBS has again revealed CEO Kang's very bad treatment of OMEGA X members. Starting from the reason the CEO molested the members in Los Angeles, which was claimed because the members did not express gratitude to the management and CEO at the end of the concert.
Second, Kang Seong Hee also forced the members to continue performing on stage even though they were positive for COVID-19. On September 28, 2022, CEO Kang and founder of the company, Hwang Seong Woo, confirmed that 4 members had tested positive for COVID-19 through self-examination. However, they asked the members to hide the results and still forced them to appear.
Two members managed to complete the dress rehearsal but did not perform at the concert due to high heat. This made OMEGA X and management violate health protocols when performing in Chile, United States. In the end 4 members really couldn't appear on stage. Thus, only seven of the eleven members were able to finish their concert in Chile.
However, the management at that time did not reveal the positive results of COVID-19 through a released statement. They only said members Jehyun, Kevin, Hyuk, and Yechan were in an unwell so they couldn't appear on stage. Now, Spire Entertainment is called to invite OMEGA X to solve this problem amicably.
Instead, they demanded that each member pay KRW 300 to 400 million (Rp 3.5 to 4.5 billion) as compensation. On the other hand, the four OMEGA X members are currently receiving psychiatric treatment for panic disorder, anxiety, and insomnia. SBS said the management had personally apologized to all the members.
