NCT DOJAEJUNG has officially become the name of the newest sub-unit of K-pop group NCT. Consisting of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo, the trio will be releasing their first mini album titled Perfume. On Monday, March 27, 2023, SM Entertainment released the group's logo along with a perfume bottle that became their debut concept.
In addition, the agency also announced the schedule and teaser of the album's release. The debut series will be divided into five parts, namely NCT DOJAEJUNG, The Scent Notes, The Blotter Paper, The Melody of Scents, and Perfume.
There are six songs that will be performed by NCT DOJAJEUNG, namely Kiss, Dive, Strawberry Sunday, Ordinary, and Perfume as the main single. They also released a studio version of Can We Go Back that was previously performed at MBC Gayo Festival. The concept of perfume is also seen in the division of schedules.
Shortly after this schedule was released, fans enlivened the hashtag #DOJAJEUNGisComing on social media indicating that this sub-unit will debut soon. NCT is a K-pop group with the concept of adding unlimited members. So far, they have debuted 23 people with four sub-units.
The 23 people are Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Mark, Yuta, Winwin, Haechan, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Johnny, Jungwoo, Lucas, Kun, Xiaojun, Hendery, Yangyang, Shotaro, and Sungchan. Then these 23 members were divided into several sub-units, namely NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV.
DOJAJEUNG is the newest unit as well as the first trio unit from NCT. Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo are preparing for their first unit's debut album. Please look forward to it," SM said in a statement earlier this month. NCT DOJAEJUNG's mini album Perfume will be released on April 17, 2023 physically and digitally.
