The production team for the JTBC K-909 variety show finally spoke about a number of reports of accidents involving NMIXX members while filming the program. Quoting from Soompi on Tuesday July 11, 2023, an NMIXX fan who attended the shooting of the K-909 program on July 10 2023 reported that there had been a number of stage accidents involving NMIXX members.
The fan reported, "There was a blaze on the stage, several people fainted, and a drone hit Kyujin's hair. This was a scary recording. Not that I was touched because I could watch NMIXX live, but my mind told me to save myself." In response to the report, the K-909 production team explained, "Because we had problems with some parts of the stage set, the grass on the stage accidentally caught fire.
However, after we saw the incident, we immediately evacuated NMIXX who was in the middle of the stage." They continued, "We immediately put out the fire with an extinguisher and opened ventilation for the stage area." The production team categorically denied reports of a number of fans or viewers fainting because of the incident.
"During the filming process, one of the viewers said that he was not feeling well. So, we suggested that he go home. However, the fan said that he was fine and returned to the shooting area, having previously managed to get out with the help of staff," explained the production team. They added that the fans who were present followed the shooting process while sitting.
They also resumed the recording process after making sure that none of the spectators were injured. Regarding reports that Kyujin had been hit by a drone, the K-909 team said, “As soon as the drone hit Kyujin's hair, we stopped filming and checked to see if Kyujin was okay.
After confirming that there was nothing wrong with him, we finished filming.” They concluded by stating, “There were no casualties, but we will work even harder to prevent any future accidents.” Meanwhile, NMIXX will make a comeback with a new single album titled A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream and the main song Party O'Clock on July 11, 2023, at 18:00 KST.
