BTS's Jungkook surprised fans by announcing a new project titled 'I AM STILL' which will be showing in theaters! On the evening of July 11, 2024 KST, BIGHIT MUSIC shared the announcement simply, releasing a minimalist image of the film’s title on social media and writing: “Coming Soon to Theaters!”
Many fans believe that the project is a documentary, citing the episode of 'Suchwita' in November last year. While appearing as a guest on Suga's YouTube talk show, Jungkook confirmed that he is currently filming a film that depicts his development as a soloist, starting with his debut single 'Seven (Feat. Latto)' to the album 'GOLDEN'.
"It follows the process from 'Seven' to my album," Jungkook told Suga at the time, adding, "When filming with the other members, the camera isn't all focused on you. But I always feel pressured to speak in front of the camera alone."
This news comes after the announcement that Jungkook will be starring in the variety series 'Are You Sure?!' with Jimin. The eight-part Disney+ show, which was filmed in 2023 before the pair enlisted in the South Korean military, will follow the two K-pop icons as they travel to three iconic global destinations: New York; Jeju Island, South Korea; and Sapporo, Japan.
