MBC's latest Korean drama titled ' Black Out ' has released a preview of Byun Yo Han's character ahead of its premiere. 'Black Out' tells the story of a high school student who is accused of murdering two of his classmates. However, he doesn't even remember committing the murders, and the bodies of the victims were never found. After being released from prison, he tries to uncover the truth.
This drama is an adaptation of the German novel 'Snow White Must Die' by author Nele Nauhaus which was published in 2010. Byun Yo Han will play Go Jung Woo, a model high school student who excels in both academics and sports, thus successfully being accepted into a prestigious medical school.
Despite being known as a friendly and innocent student, he yearns for adulthood and secretly consumes alcohol without his parents' permission after his college entrance exams. Go Jung Woo's seemingly perfect life then changes drastically when he is accused of the murder of two women who were his classmates.
Feeling no memory of the events of that day, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. After his release, he was determined to uncover the truth and reclaim his life that was taken from him. The preview photo released via Instagram @mbcdrama_now shows how tough Go Jung Woo's life is as a murder suspect.
One of the photos shows his younger self from 10 years ago, standing in the courtroom with a look of despair. Compared to his current appearance, which is strong after years of imprisonment, the photos provide a glimpse into his rocky life.
In another photo, Go Jung Woo is seen opening a piece of paper on the table and examining it closely, raising curiosity about what he is thinking and whether he is indeed the real culprit in the murder case. Byun Yo Han will showcase the complex emotions of Go Jung Woo's character, making this drama worth looking forward to. The drama 'Black Out' will premiere on August 16, 2024, every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 KST.
