Actress Park Bo Young recently won the award for Best Actress at the 2024 Blue Dragon Series Awards for her performance in the Korean drama ' Daily Dose of Sunshine '. The 2024 Blue Dragon Series Awards ceremony was held on Friday July 19, 2024 at 20:30 local time at Paradise City, Incheon.
Hosted by MC Jeon Hyun Moo and SNSD's Yoona, the event was also broadcast live on KBS2. Through her outstanding role and acting in the Netflix drama 'Daily Dose of Sunshine', Park Bo Young was announced as the winner of Best Actress beating other popular names.
"I really want to say that I respect all the seniors and fellow actors who were nominated with me," Park Bo Young said in her speech, as quoted from KBIZoom. Park Bo Young decided to play in 'Daily Dose of Sunshine' because she wanted to empathize with others and comfort them.
She also admitted that it was difficult when playing the role of Jung Da Eun. “Jung Eun, Sang Hee, Ji Yeon, and Lee Dam, who appeared in the drama as my fellow nurses, filmed with me. We always hugged and complimented each other for working hard throughout filming,” Park Bo Young said.
He added, "I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of you. There are many main characters in the drama episodes and they lead the story well. I want to thank all the actors who played the main characters in this episode.”
Lastly, Park Bo Young touched everyone when she said, “If anyone is going through a long, dark night, I hope you won’t be too tired and will endure until the end to see the morning. Thank you.” Meanwhile, 'Daily Dose of Sunshine' tells the story of nurses working in the neuropsychiatric department.
