CNBLUE band will officially make a comeback today with their tenth mini album titled ' X. ' Precisely on Monday Ocotober 14, 2024. Ahead of the release of the latest album, Yonghwa, Jungshin, and Minhyuk did an interview session with the media crew as part of the promotion. On that occasion, the band that has had a career for 15 years mentioned the main reasons and motivations why they decided to release a new album.
Quoting from Allkpop, CNBLUE's 10th mini album 'X' consists of 6 songs that they wrote themselves. The members proudly said that their new album this time really shows their unique musical color, as well as their abilities that have been honed for 15 years. CNBLUE also explained the main reason why they decided to make a comeback.
"The reason we decided that no matter what, we have to release an album this year. Because we can feel the revival of the band this year. We are diligently working on the song, but have not found the right release time," said CNBLUE. They continued, "But now, we realize we can't waste any more time. We feel confident that now is the right time, where people can tell what's real and what's not.
We spent more than half a year getting here, now it's time for us to bring out our guns." Furthermore, CNBLUE admitted that they can't wait to showcase their latest work, and confidently present a refreshing musical direction for this comeback. Not playing around with this new album comeback, CNBLUE focuses on a 'raw band sound' including the title track 'A Sleepless Night.'
They also recruited poet Ha Sangwook who is known as the 'Social Media Poet' to include a line from his poem into the song title. Not only telling the motivation behind the release of their album, CNBLUE also discussed the creative process behind its creation. Where member Yonghwa shared a nostalgic experience when they finished recording for their debut album in 2009.
Yonghwa said before his debut, he liked to drive from Yeongdeungpo to Hongdae while listening to the song 'Alone' and playing it loudly so that people outside the car could hear it. He would feel proud if people would react like 'What song is this?' It made him miss the moment when they only focused on the music.
