The sexual harassment case committed by Moon Taeil aka NCT's Taeil is still ongoing. After undergoing a police investigation, the former member of the K-pop group NCT was reported to have raped a woman while drunk with two other men.
Previously on Wednesday August 28, 2024, fans were shocked by SM Entertainment's report stating that NCT's Taeil was caught in a sexual harassment case. He has even had dealings with the police. Without hesitation, Taeil was immediately removed from the K-pop group NCT after discussing with SM Entertainment.
"We recently learned that Taeil has been caught up in a criminal case related to sexual assault. Upon learning the facts, we realized the gravity of the situation and decided that Taeil would not be able to continue his activities with NCT. After discussing with Taeil, we have decided that Taeil will leave the group," SM Entertainment said in a statement, as reported by Soompi.
Since then, several members of the K-pop group NCT have unfollowed Taeil's Instagram account. Including Taeyong, Doyoung, Haechan, Johnny, Winwin, Mark, and Jungwoo. NCT Taeil's fans also shared videos of themselves destroying photocards and merchandise related to their idol on social media, showing support for the sexual harassment victim.
Until finally on Thursday August 29, 2024, the Bangbae Police Station revealed that NCT's Taeil had been arrested and questioned since June 2024. The victim of his sexual harassment was an adult woman. Not a few fans are furious because NCT's Taeil case was only revealed to the public after a month of being questioned by the police.

Furthermore, Korean media Chosun reported that the two men who raped the victim with NCT's Taeil were not celebrities. Now the sexual harassment case he committed will be continued to the Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office. Following the news, NCT Taeil's agency SM Entertainment declined to comment. "It is difficult to comment because the case is under investigation."
