Recently, a Facebook account Public Health Malaysia made a post claiming that Rosé and Bruno Mars' song APT. has a bad influence on listeners. This has become a topic of discussion because the account is considered official from the Malaysian government. In fact, it is not.

The Malaysian Ministry of Health through their official X account @KKMPutrajaya issued a statement regarding the claim from Public Health Malaysia on Facebook. Viewed on Thursday October 31, 2024, the ministry confirmed several things. First, the ministry's connection to the Public Health Malaysia Facebook account.

Second, the public's appeal to be careful in spreading information online, especially something that has not been verified. The Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia would like to clarify that any statement regarding this article (on account X quoting Koreaboo's tweet) attributed to MOH is not issued or endorsed by the Malaysian Government.

In this regard, we would like to emphasize that the post was made by a party that is not related to the Ministry in any way. Please be careful of unverified information circulating online, as it can cause confusion and spread misinformation among the public. Therefore, we encourage the public to rely on MOH's official channels for verified public health information and updates.

The public apparently considers the Public Health Malaysia Facebook account to be government-owned. On Facebook, the account has more than 1 million followers, giving the impression of being trustworthy. Previously, the account declared that APT.'s song was not in accordance with local culture because it was too western.

One of the things they highlighted was the lyrics of the song which contained words such as kiss, club, drink (alcohol), smoke, and party. APT. or short for apartments in South Korea, is considered a symbol of a hangout place in the song. It gives the impression of being seductive and popularizing behavior that is contrary to Eastern values.

Not to mention the APT song. which is often used as a background sound for videos on social media until it goes viral. This makes many children sing the lyrics of the song without knowing the meaning. The clarification from the Malaysian government has finally cleared up the murky waters among BLACKPINK fans and APT listeners.
