Netflix released a preview and a video date announcement for the series XO, Kitty. The series will launch new episodes starting January 16, 2025. In this second season, Kitty returns to Seoul to start a new semester. Kitty is ready to open a new page and live a more relaxed relationship.

The audience will be treated to an exciting roommate story, an increasingly complicated romance, and of course, a love triangle conflict that also enlivens the storyline. Although at the end of season 1 Kitty (Anna Cathcart) was expelled from KISS after being caught living in the boys' dormitory, in the XO story, Kitty will return to the elite school to resolve various unresolved conflicts.

If previously Kitty was trapped in a love triangle situation, in season 2 she decides to have a more relaxed relationship without drama. However, her focus on romance changes when she finds a letter from her mother's past, leading her on a new journey to uncover more about her mother.

The three characters who were Kitty's love interests in season 1 are confirmed to return in the latest season. They are Minyeong Choi as her ex-boyfriend, Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, and Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho. In the final episode of last season, Kitty began to accept herself as bisexual when she almost confessed her feelings to Yuri before boarding the plane home.

This is predicted to be one of the main themes in season 2, where Kitty tries to understand more deeply what she is really looking for in a relationship. In addition, the second season will also feature Anthony Keyvan, Regan Aliyah, Peter Thurnwald, Philippe Lee, Audrey Huynh, Jocelyn Shelfo, Michael K. Lee, Sasha Bhasin, and Joshua Lee.

Jenny Han, author of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before novel trilogy , is the creator behind the XO, Kitty series. Jessica O'Toole returns as writer, showrunner, and executive producer, collaborating with Jenny Han and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.

The series is still being produced by AwesomenessTV, the studio that previously worked on popular projects such as School Spirits on Paramount+, Pen15 on Hulu, and most recently The Thundermans Return on Nickelodeon.
