BigHit Music previously announced that all BTS members would be enlisting in the military. Jin will be the first member to apply for registration. Now, Jin reportedly has officially filed for the cancellation of the postponement of military service to the Military Manpower Administration (MMA). The cancellation was posted on Friday November 4, 2022.
Quoted from MK Sports, with this BTS's Jin can start preparing to undergo military service. MMA will decide when the singer of The Astronaut hits can register. Various considerations will be taken before the MMA makes a decision. These considerations are based on the need for military resources to the number of people waiting in line to undergo military service.
Typically, it will take about three months before MMA sends notification of the enrollment schedule. However, if the number of people waiting for military service is small, then the summons can come within two months of applying for enlistment. So it is still not certain when BTS's Jin will undergo military service. However, if you look at the timing of the cancellation of the delay, the oldest member of BTS could serve in the military in early 2023.
BTS's Jin decision to apply for the cancellation of the military enlistment was made after he made his solo debut with the release of the song "The Astronaut". The song is a collaboration and also a gift from Coldplay for him. BTS's Jin was even invited directly by Coldplay to sing the song The Astronaut at their concert in Argentina.
The concert was held on October 28, 2022, and was Jin's first appearance singing his official solo song. Meanwhile, Jin became the second member of BTS to officially debut solo. Previously, J-Hope had made his solo debut with the release of the album Jack in the Box. After J-Hope and Jin, RM is said to be following next. While Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are said to be releasing a solo album in 2023.
