Yumi's story continues in the Korean drama Yumi's Cells 3. Adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name, the third installment will introduce Kim Jae Won as the main character.
Yumi's Cells tells the story of an office worker named Yumi and the cells in her brain that control her every feeling, thought, and action. Kim Go Eun continues to play Yumi, this time opposite Kim Jae Won.
On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, TVING released a new teaser focusing on Kim Jae Won's character, Soon Rok. Soon Rok is a producer at Julie Publishing who serves as Yumi's boss. The teaser, less than a minute long, shows Soon Rok's daily life behind the scenes as an office worker.
At the office, he is frank and highly critical of his fellow employees, including Yumi. Behind all that, Soon Rok is someone who enjoys life at home, even though he always lacks energy when he's outside.
One such moment was when Yumi asked about the weather and Soon Rok responded curtly, but he was very enthusiastic inside. The cells in Soon Rok's brain are very enthusiastic and lively when he's at home.
Soon Rok is very comfortable doing activities at home without anyone knowing. Yumi, who was often ignored by Soon Rok, finally accepted it and apologized for feeling disturbed, but Soon Rok answered otherwise.
Yumi's Cells 3 also stars Jeon Seok Ho, Choi Daniel, Cho Hye Jung, Mi Ram, Park Se In, and many others. This drama marks the final chapter in the Yumi's Cells series since its premiere in 2021. Meanwhile, the drama Yumi's Cells 3 will air starting April 13, 2026.
