The second season of Netflix's popular series, 'Squid Game', has stolen the show again since its release on December 26, 2024. In just one day, the series managed to rank first in all 93 countries where Netflix is available.

However, this success was slightly tarnished by a small mistake that did not escape the keen eyes of fans. In episode 7, precisely at minute 22:39, a cameraman is seen in a shooting scene between the players and the guards.

The clip quickly went viral on social media, including X (formerly Twitter), with over 12.4 million views at the time of writing. Many netizens commented on the mistake, some joking that the cameraman had 'only one job' but failed to do it. Some fans blamed the editors for this omission, suggesting that fatigue or work pressure might be to blame.

Mistakes like this are actually nothing new in the entertainment industry. Big series like 'Game of Thrones' and 'Downton Abbey' have also experienced similar blunders, such as the appearance of a coffee cup in a scene that was supposed to be set in the past.

However, there are also those who defend 'Squid Game', arguing that these mistakes are understandable considering the story's premise involving a 'show within a show' element. In this context, the presence of the cameraman might be considered part of the fictional crew in the story.

This mistake occurs during a tense scene where the remaining players strategize against the guards on the Front Man's orders. In a shocking twist , Player 001, Young-il, begins shooting the guards one by one, showing an unexpected loyalty.

Mixed reactions from fans have emerged online. One user X wrote, "There's a cameraman in Episode 7, minute 22:38. Who didn't notice it while watching? [laughing emoji]". Another added, "A mistake like this makes you curious, but it doesn't ruin the story."

However, some fans expressed disappointment with the second season finale which was considered unsatisfying. This criticism did not hinder the popularity of the series, considering the appeal of 'Squid Game' which continues to arouse the curiosity of the audience.

This mistake will probably be fixed by Netflix, as the platform often revises mistakes in its content. However, loyal fans are still looking forward to the continuation of Gi-hun's story and how he faces new challenges in the next season.

This little blunder shows that even a big production like 'Squid Game' is not without its mistakes. However, with a story full of suspense and surprises, the series continues to be a global phenomenon that is hard to forget.
