Worrying news came from Son Naeun. The former A Pink member became a victim of blackmail after her personal cellphone was hacked. This was revealed by Na Eun herself through a post on her personal Instagram account on February 12, 2025.
The actress reposted her agency's statement, which read, "This is YG Entertainment. We will be discussing the recent incident where actress Son Na Eun's personal phone was hacked." The agency explained that Na Eun had previously paid the blackmailer.
"The hacker illegally collected personal data and asked for money in exchange for not disclosing it. In an effort to protect her family and acquaintances from harm, Son Na Eun once complied with the request," the agency revealed.
However, the threats to Na Eun did not stop and instead continued to be carried out by the blackmailer. "However, the hacker has since continued to make additional demands and monetary threats," the agency continued.
Na Eun was finally pressured by the blackmailer's actions. "The situation has caused severe psychological stress for the actress and her family, as the hacker has even tried to contact them directly," the agency added.
They eventually reported the case to the police. "The case is currently under official police investigation.. We emphasize that we will take strong legal action against all criminal acts related to privacy violations and threats," the agency stressed.
The agency then revealed that the police have moved to investigate the blackmailer. "Lastly, as the formal investigation is still ongoing, we respectfully ask the media to refrain from reporting unverified information," the agency concluded.
The announcement of Na Eun being the victim of blackmail was immediately flooded with comments from South Korean netizens. Many were shocked and hoped that the star of the drama "Romance in the House" could punish the blackmailer and return to living a good life.
