ADOR spoke out in response to NJZ's announcement that they decided to go on hiatus on Sunday March 23, 2025. The group announced their hiatus after the court banned NewJeans from carrying out independent activities and using the name NJZ.

Through an official statement, ADOR revealed that it wanted to meet with NewJeans members to discuss the group's future activities. "We deeply regret that despite the court decision, NewJeans continued its activities under a different name, not NewJeans, and independently announced that it would cease its activities," ADOR said.

"In accordance with the applicable ADOR exclusive contract, we want to do our best for NewJeans," the agency continued, as reported by Yonhap TV News on Monday March 24, 2025. On March 21, 2025, the Seoul Central District Court accepted ADOR's request to issue an injunction prohibiting NewJeans members from conducting activities independently under the name NJZ.

However, despite the court ruling, the five-member girl group still performed at ComplexCon under the name NJZ on March 23, 2025.  The group performed their latest song titled Pit Stop and then announced that they would be temporarily halting all activities for an indefinite period of time.

This was revealed by the members themselves in front of their fans. NJZ said that the action in Hong Kong was the last performance for some time to come. "It's really hard for us to say this, but this may be our last performance for a while," said the official statement delivered by NJZ, reported by Billboard, Sunday March 23, 2025.

"Out of respect for the court's decision, we are temporarily suspending all of our activities at this time. It was not an easy decision, but we believe it is something we must do at this time." "However, that doesn't mean we will give up, we will keep trying," they continued.

"With the decision that we have made, we respect the court's decision, and for now, we will just take a step back to pause, take a breath, and calm our hearts and ourselves before we can move forward," NJZ said. Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein also expressed their gratitude to those who have always supported them.

The group also promised to return for the support. The court ruling establishes ADOR's status as NewJeans' agency until a final ruling is made in the contract dispute. The main trial in the case is scheduled to begin on April 3, 2025.
