South Korean actor Kim Do Hoon suffered a broken bone while filming the Korean drama 'Dear X' last week. He had to undergo surgery and rest for the recovery process. Peak J Entertainment agency reported that the injury suffered by its artist was caused by a motorcycle riding scene.

"Kim Do Hoon suffered a fracture injury to his lower left arm while riding a motorcycle while filming the drama 'Dear X'," he told local media on Monday March 24, 2025. A source told Sport Chosun that the 1998-born actor was injured while practicing riding a motorcycle in between filming.

He only rode it for a short distance, but the injury was quite serious. The operation went smoothly. Kim Do Hoon is still hospitalized. However, it is estimated that it will take 24 weeks or 6 months for his arm to fully recover and be able to do normal activities.

That delayed the shooting schedule and made it uncertain when it could be resumed. And what was more worrying was the broadcast schedule that had to be postponed. TVING as the production company has not yet responded. They have scheduled the drama to air in 2025.

'Dear X' carries the thriller genre. Starring Kim Yoo Jung, Kim Young Dae, and Lee Yul Eum. Adapted from a webtoon with the same title by Ban Ji Woon published in 2019-2020. Tells the story of an actress named Baek Ah Jin (Kim Yoo Jung) who always hides her emotions to survive. She may look kind, but is actually hot-tempered.

Kim Do Hoon will play the character Kim Jae Oh, a man who is always by Baek Ah Jin's side. They feel connected because they have something in common, namely living in misery because of their father's evil treatment. The 26-year-old actor made his debut in 2018 through the film 'Gate'.

His name skyrocketed after playing the character Lee Gang Hoon in the Disney Plus drama, 'Moving'. He has been involved in many other popular dramas, including 'Love Scout' which became a hit in early 2025. As well as 'The Escape of the Seven', 'Doctor John', and 'Your Honor'.
