Korean drama Knock Off starring Kim Soo-hyun was announced to be postponed due to the controversy involving the main actor. The drama is planned to air in April 2025 until further notice. This announcement was delivered directly by Disney+ Korea as the production team for the action genre drama.
"After careful discussion, we have decided to postpone the broadcast of Knock Off," said Disney+ Korea, as reported by EDaily on Friday March 21, 2025. The fate of Knock Off has been in limbo since Kim Soo-hyun was dragged into a controversy related to the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
The drama, which also stars Jo Bo-ah, was originally scheduled to air as scheduled. Disney+ Korea revealed that Knock Off is on schedule and filming for part 2 has already begun. The studio even prepared a press conference for the drama.
However, the decision changed due to the controversy involving Kim Soo-hyun, including allegations of dating a minor, which is still ongoing. The late Kim Sae-ron's family initially accused Kim Soo-hyun, then 27, of dating the actress when she was 15. The relationship lasted for about six years.
Garosero Research Institute then revealed various photos and videos that strengthen the evidence of the romantic relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron in the past. Gold Medalist as an agency, in 2024, denied rumors that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were dating. However, after many selfies were released, the agency finally confirmed that the two artists had dated.
However, they confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun dated when Kim Sae-ron was of legal age of 19, or in 2019, and ended in 2020. Kim Soo-hyun's agency is also suing Kim Sae-ron's family for spreading photos of their actor without pants while at Kim Sae-ron's residence.
