In the midst of his military service, BTS's V is back in the headlines with news of his kindness and incredible work ethic. On April 19, 2025, a soldier from the idol's unit who had just been discharged from the military shared a letter of thanks to V.
The soldier praised V's accomplishments, despite his injuries. "Taehyungie hyung, I didn't get to thank you for everything you've done for me while I was in this unit, so I decided to leave a message here," the soldier said.
"Despite shoulder and thigh injuries, you managed to rank 1st in target shooting training, rank 1st in winter urban warfare training, and receive the Exemplary Military Police Award. Seeing you really helps me to continue training," he added.
The soldier further explained that V often encouraged him during difficult training. "And during our last physical examination together, we kept pushing each other during the 3km run so that we could both achieve exemplary rank, and in the end, we both managed to finish it with more than enough time to achieve exemplary rank.
It was really amazing. I think I will remember it for a long time," he continued. "And all the days when we went to work out with Sunghyun, rain or shine, we could work out with the nice equipment you donated, and all the sweating together at the gym, all of them are very special memories for me," the soldier added.
V was also said to be diligent in buying food for the group. "And you always buy us all the food we want when we leave the base or visit the PX. Thank you for doing that. I still can't forget the eel sushi. It was so delicious..." he said.
More than anything, V's strong work ethic and passion helped the soldier set his sights on becoming a physical therapist. "Thanks to you, I was able to maintain my efforts in exercising and studying during my military service," the soldier continued.
"Even after I was discharged, the spirit I learned to cultivate in the military remained within me and made me want to pursue my goals with all my heart. I really enjoyed my time in this unit because of you, hyung. I won't give up, I will keep trying, just like you, hyung. Always take care of your health, hyung!" he said.
