Park Bo Gum is one of the Korean actors who invests smartly through property. According to local media reports, the wealth of the actor born in "When Life Gives You Tangerines" has increased by around 500 million KRW due to his investment.
According to data provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s official transaction system, a property owned by Park Bo Gum has seen a tremendous surge in value this year. The data shows that a unit in the Gyeonghuigung Xi 2 Apartment Complex, where the actor currently lives, was sold for ₩2.54 billion KRW on March 21, 2025
This is the highest price for this type of property. In fact, the same unit would have been sold for around ₩1.95 billion KRW to ₩2.05 billion KRW a year ago. In addition to being owned by Park Bo Gum, the location of the apartment is also very strategic.
Gyeonghuigung Xi Apartment is located in a highly sought-after neighborhood in Seoul, as it is well-connected to several major parts of the city, including Gangnam, Mapo, and Yeouido. Park Bo Gum reportedly moved to the neighborhood from his residence in Mok-dong in 2019 to be closer to his filming locations and work.
According to an industry expert, Park Bo Gum is expected to continue to enjoy the property's value increase as it is located near Gyeonghuigung Palace, enjoys a natural inner-city environment, and has excellent transportation links.
An industry insider commented, “Apartments near the palace are expected to remain in demand due to their historical symbolism, the natural environment in the city center and excellent transport links.”
On the other hand, Park Bo Gum received a lot of praise for his acting in the drama "When Life Gives You Tangerines" as Yang Gwan Sik. The actor acted opposite IU and his good behavior on the set was often praised by his co-stars.
Recently, IU unexpectedly revealed a moment of surprise at the way Park Bo Gum spoke firmly and harshly to another actor. "Park Bo Gum is not only a good person, but also a very clear and principled person," said the actress.
"He always makes good judgments, and I really felt that as someone his age. There was one moment that really showed that to me — during the year-long filming, no matter how unwell he was, he always reassured everyone that he was fine and helped keep the mood cheerful.
However, there was one time I saw him talking without his usual smile," IU added. The moment occurred when a child actor of "When Life Gives You Tangerines" repeated a bad slang word. Hearing that, Park Bo Gum immediately corrected the child actor in a gentle but firm manner.
